Homesteading. Hustling. Figuring it out in real time.
Hey, I'm Kenzo. And yes, before you ask β the mustache is intentional. π₯Έ
I spent my 20s and 30s absolutely thriving. Single, gay, and ready to go at a moment's notice. I've been lucky enough to see a lot of this world β some of it in uniform before I was old enough to rent a car, other places in my short shorts on a beautiful beach somewhere. From the Middle East to Asia, Europe to the Caribbean β I've been living my BEST life! βοΈπ
I was in the cruise industry for 12 years, which basically meant I had a fancy excuse to travel the world and call it work. Chase Sapphire Reserve in my pocket, airport lounge like I owned the place. Was I saving money? Girl, no. πΈ
Then Covid hit and shut ALL of that down overnight. Just like that. π·
So I did what any totally sane person would do β bought a truck, built out a camper, and drove 30,000 miles around the country with ZERO plans. ππΊοΈ I had an old school Atlas map book and literally decided where I was going when I woke up each morning. Just started driving. That was the whole plan.
I turned 40 out there somewhere. And something shifted. π―
Now I'm 42, intentionally living as a minimalist on half an acre in Texas β no septic, no running water, no fancy anything. And I mean intentionally. π² People look at me crazy when I say this, but I am genuinely happier waking up every morning amongst the trees than I ever would be in any high-rise luxury apartment in the center of the city. Hauling 5-gallon water jugs π§, raising chickens π, growing my own food β this is the life I chose. Oh, and my body has started sending invoices for all those years when I thought I was Mr. Invincible. High blood pressure, achy back, all the grown people things. We love a plot twist. π
But honestly? I've never been more curious, more alive, or more focused. These guides are everything I'm learning in real time β health, money, food, freedom. Come figure it out with me. β€οΈβπ₯
